Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the American University of Peace Studies ("AUOPS", "we") collects when you use auops.web.app, including the Degree Programs page and the Short Courses page, and how that information is used. By submitting a form on this site you agree to this policy.

1. Who is responsible

2. What we collect

When you fill in the "Request Details" form we collect the information you type: your name, email address, WhatsApp number and the program or course you are interested in. We also record the page you were on, the time of submission and, when you arrived from an advertisement, the campaign identifiers attached to the link (such as utm_* parameters and the Google click identifier). We do not collect payment details on this site.

3. Why we collect it

• To answer your request and send you admissions, scholarship, course and application information.
• To contact you by WhatsApp or email about the program or course you asked about.
• To understand which advertisements bring genuine requests, so we can spend our budget responsibly.

We do not sell your information and we do not use it for unrelated marketing lists.

4. Where it goes

Form submissions are stored in a spreadsheet in AUOPS's Google Workspace account and a notification email is sent to the AUOPS admissions team. After you submit, the site opens WhatsApp with a message prepared for you; sending that message is your choice and is governed by WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy. Google (as our processor for storage, email and advertising measurement) and Meta (WhatsApp) are the only third parties involved.

5. Cookies and advertising measurement

This site uses the Google Ads tag to measure whether a visit that started from one of our advertisements led to a request for details. The tag may set cookies and read the click identifier in the address of the page. You can opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com and block cookies in your browser; the site keeps working without them.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your request while it is being handled and for as long as you remain a prospective or enrolled student. You can ask us to delete it at any time (see section 7).

7. Your choices

You may ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or ask us to stop contacting you, by emailing admin@auops.org or writing to us on WhatsApp at +592-647-0985. We answer within 30 days.

8. Children

This site is intended for adults considering study. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be mentioned on the form.
